Fall Season "Ongoing" Activities Aug 8-Oct 27 - 10am-6pm, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun Chile Roasting (as soon as they are ready and as long as they last), 10am - 6pm, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun "Tulip Blooming in Every Yard" Bulb Sales (hoping this will happen) Buy tulip bulbs and support Parkinson's Disease Research through the Rocky Mountain Parkinson's Association. www.parkinsonrockies.org Scavenger Hunt - (Click Here To Download) Farm Equipment Museum Self Guided Tour Vintage Equipment on display and their history markers are up from mid-September thru October unless the wind blows them away in-between. Agriculture Tours Tigges Farm participates in agriculture tours other organization, such as the ones the Greeley Chamber of Commerce and the Windsor/Severance Historical Society host. Arrangements must be made in advance. Barn Quilt Gallery A display of wood painted quilt blocks that tell the history of the farm or the Tigges family. Rocking Horses and Tractors This is the Tigges Farm "Amusing Park." There is a corral of rocking horses for the toddlers to enjoy. They can also climb on the tractors and pretend to be big time farmers. The red baron airplane offers hours of imaginary flights across the USA and is located in the Red Baron Event Center. Pumpkin Patch is Open - September 27 - October 27 & 31 Aug 8-Oct 27 Tigges Farm has an Event Building that is available for Birthday Parties, Employee Appreciation Days, Small Reunions on Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun if not being used by the farm. Fall Season "Weekend" Events September 21 - Benefit Concert, 7pm Hands In Praise, a Christian American Sign Language Choir (www.HandsInPraiseASL.com) sponsored by Bethel Lutheran Church of Windsor will present an inspirational concert of contemporary praise song and favorite all time hymns set to recordings by artist music. If you have never experienced a sign language concert you are in for a real treat of hearing and seeing the music and the lyrics. It is beyond describing - you have to experience it. The concert has no admission charge but non-perishable food and/or tax-deductable donations will be appreciated to help support the following non-profits: Weld Food Bank, www.weldfoodbank.org Colorado Hands & Voices, www.co-hv.org September 21-22 - Navy Boot Camp Celebration Day Jack Rickart, grandson of Curtis and Kathy Rickart (Kathy manages the stand, does the bookeeping, coordinates the events), was one of our awesome family volunteer chile roasters and he will be graduating from Navy Boot Camp in Great Falls, Illinois on September 21. We are so proud of him! We are celebrating "Farm Style" here at home and you all are invited. Staff will done sailor caps, we put up a big banner and everyone gets a salute that weekend. You might even be one of the lucky ones who gets a sailor cap. We have a bunch to give out. Sept 28 - 29 Trucker Hat Bar, (Saturday 28th - 10am - 1pm) (Sunday 29th 1-4pm) - $20 for supplies. Part of your purchase will be a donation. Plant them and they will bloom in April which is Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month Oct 5-27 "Pink Pumpkin on Every Porch" Patch is Open, 10am - 6pm, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun.
